I’m not going to do too much commentary on this video. I think once you watch it, you will understand why. There is no doubt that electric cars, or some sort of hybrid electric-combustion implementation, are the future of racing.
Recently, a video surfaced of a Challenger SRT Hellcat with 707 horsepower taking on a Tesla P85D sedan with 692 horses. Granted, the Hellcat had a hard time getting off the line, so the driver of that car is questionable. However, even with that in mind, there is no doubt that electric technology is going to take auto performance to the next level… the Tesla P85D, at almost 5,000 pounds, rockets from 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds.
Elon Musk wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to unleash the P85D. Where do you think the performance of these cars is going to be a few years from now?
